Welcome to swimming pool and spa information Pool StructuresYou basically have a bowl of water in your yard. Around that bowl is some kind of deck. Inside the bowl you have a plaster finish, a painted finish, a fiberglass finish or a liner.
Under the bowl... dirt, maybe some rocks.
Circulation system
A typical system has a pump to draw water from that bowl. That same water is pushed from the pump and forced into the filter.

The filter that the water is pushed into could be a sand filter, a cartridge filter or a DE filter.

After that it goes into the heater if you have one, then on to the chemical feeder.

Returned to the pool as cleaned up tuned up heated up water.
Maintenance EquipmentThe telescoping pole is the first and most important tool. Without it you can do nothing, get the fiberglass pole... you can't bend it or break it!
You will need a skimmer net, I use the deep ones called leaf rakes, a brush, vacuum hose and head.
